Survival 101 Tuition: $145.
Two days, one night. Co-ed. Ages 18+. (Parent w/teen: please inquire) Start time: Sat., 10 am. End time: Sun., 1 pm. Please click here for the gear list. "I didn't know so much could be taught and taught so well in only a weekend." - a 101 graduate. For those who have camped maybe once or twice or three times, or never at all. For those with a desire for increased wilderness confidence and a sturdy survival foundation. |
Students will learn the importance of proper preparedness and the knowledge, skills, and techniques associated with all of the seven survival priorities: Positive Mental Attitude (PMA), Wilderness First Aid (WFA), Shelter, Fire, Signaling, Water and Food. Short-term and long-term survival will be be discussed. Contents of a personal survival kit will be taught. And improvisation and its creative aspects will be emphasized. Class participants will become a team, stay safe, learn, and have fun.
Wild Wisdom Tuition: $195
Three days, two nights. Co-ed. Ages 18+. (Parent w/teen, please inquire). Start time: Fri., 10 am. End time: Sun., noon. Please click here for the gear list. The entire 101 curriculum will be offered plus another day and night to learn more such as additional shelter types, intro to map and compass, jerky making, and sling shot construction. NOTE: Bottled water will be provided during the duration of all of our classes. And, bathroom facilities will be available for students at our nearby cabin. Every student successfully completing a class will receive a Certificate of Completion and the top scorer of each class will win bragging rights and a prize worth winning. |
