Survival 101
2-days, 1-night. Tuition: $225 per person. Madison, GA location. Start time: Sat., 10 am. End time: Sun., NLT 1 pm. Class size: 8 max. A terrific choice for those having camped maybe once or twice OR never at all. Bottled water will be provided and an indoor bathroom is available in the cabin. Adults, 18+. At the end of class a top scorer will be announced and awarded bragging rights and a nice prize. Each student successfully completing the class will be awarded a Certificate of Completion. CURRICULUM
Students will learn the importance of proper preparedness and the knowledge, skills, and techniques associated with the seven survival priorities: 1) Positive Mental Attitude (PMA); 2) Wilderness First Aid; 3) Shelter; 4) Fire; 5) Signaling; 6) Water; and, 7) Food. Short-term and long-term survival will be be discussed. Contents of a personal survival kit will be taught. And improvisation and its creative aspects will be emphasized. Class participants will become a team, stay safe, and learn quite a bit of survival stuff. Survival 101 Gear List |
