Wild Wisdom
3-days, 2-nights. Tuition: $300 per person. Madison, GA location. Start time: Fri., 10 am. End time: Sun., NLT noon. Class size: 8 max. With the extra night and day, the Wild Wisdom class offers additional time with Byron. Plus, students will preserve meat (make jerky) and have a slingshot competition. Bottled water will be provided and an indoor bathroom is available in the cabin. Adults, 18+. At the end of class a top scorer will be announced and awarded bragging rights and a nice prize. Each student successfully completing the class will be awarded a Certificate of Completion. CURRICULUM Students will learn the importance of proper preparedness and the knowledge, skills, and techniques associated with the seven survival priorities: 1) Positive Mental Attitude (PMA); 2) Wilderness First Aid; 3) Shelter; 4) Fire; 5) Signaling; 6) Water; and, 7) Food. Short-term and long-term survival will be be discussed. Contents of a personal survival kit will be taught. And improvisation and its creative aspects will be emphasized. Students will learn how to preserve meat and have a slingshot competition. They will become a team, stay safe, and learn more than they imagined. Wild Wisdom Gear List |
