Bare Bones Equipment List |
All gear will be carried in pockets, in a fanny pack or small waist pack, and/or in a blanket roll. The blanket roll will be made near the vehicle parking area from issued cord, your blanket(s), and issued shelter material . A demonstration will be provided by the instructor. Personal gear will be searched for contraband prior to wilderness entry. Backpacks, stoves, lanterns, commercial tents, sleeping bags, and sleeping pads will be considered contraband items. If nightly temperatures are forecasted < 50 degrees, students will have the choice of substituting a sleeping bag for blanket(s). |
